Nutreco is hiring… we’re seeking an exceptional Indirect Procurement Manager to take charge of our dynamic Logistics portfolio. As a pivotal member of our North American Business Operations team, you'll report directly to the Director of Procurement, playing a crucial role in driving commodity strategies that maximize Nutreco's margins.
As a sourcing leader, you will drive commodity strategies for indirect spend and strive to improve our margins under our vendor portfolio. With the opportunity to lead projects, implement innovative enhancements, and spearhead impactful negotiations and RFPs, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our procurement landscape. Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders, you'll guide them in optimizing their interactions with vendor partners.

Manage tender and contract processes for North American land logistics, overseeing Supplier Management, Stakeholder Management, Procurement activities, and Execution support.

Logistics

Manufacturing Maintenance, Repair and Operations

Professional services

Lead the selection and hiring of logistics providers to ensure efficient transportation of finished products from plants to clients.

Provide training to users and serve as a super-user of logistics tools, promoting optimal utilization and proficiency.

Take ownership of assigned projects and explore potential development opportunities within the company.

Collaborate with the global logistic procurement team, contributing to their initiatives and providing assistance as needed.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
We count on your expertise, acquired over the last 10+ years in a similar role - Procurement/Supply Chain business operation. Experience in the manufacturing industry is a real asset.

You understand the logistic process; experience in land logistics freight sourcing (preferably through e-sourcing tool) and know how the prices are established.

You work independently, are organized and sensitive to deadlines.

Ability to recognize situations that warrant attention and develop practical solutions.

Pro-active problem solver and results oriented, and you are an excellent team worker.

You are a networker, and you possess effective communication skills both verbally and written.
COULD THIS BE YOU?

Post secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline

5+ years experience in a similar role

2+ years in Indirect Category
-
Track record of delivering substantial dollars’ worth of savings

Relevant Supply Chain professional designation or a related designation

You have experience in the application of benchmarking tools and techniques to measure supplier performance (an asset)
