Position Overview:
This position will lead a product class (or classes) by owning industry-leading GTM strategy. The role will lead the development and deployment of a holistic go-to-market strategy specific within one or more of the major industry verticals – Construction Industries, Resources Industries, or Energy and Transportation.
This role will be the key contact working with senior leaders across Sales, Service, Supply Chain, Pricing and Marketing to ensure our products and services are both commercially and operationally viable as they penetrate our market.
The role will have accountability to ensure Finning works closely with its customer base to provide timely sales strategies and solutions that enable top line revenue growth, increased market share while meeting profitability targets. This position will provide strategic support to the sales execution team as well as one of the key liaisons for the Caterpillar CI team.
Job Description:

Provide strategic leadership for parts selling execution across various industry verticals while working with leaders from other functional departments (Supply Chain, Service, Operations, Sales, Pricing and marketing) to ensure strategic objectives have alignment across the business and are executed on effectively.

Alignment with external partners (Caterpillar, third-party suppliers, and in some cases customers) is essential in this role as proper vendor management is critical to success.

The Product Manager is a vested owner of the long-term product forecast, market share projection and Finning’s stocking strategy for each respective product.

Ensure the product portfolio delivers against revenue and profit targets that are aligned to market conditions.

Considered the primary resource for the commercialization within product groups, applications, industry segments, and overall go-to-market strategy.

Activation of customized solutions to augment Finning’s competitive advantages to win opportunities.

Cross-collaboration across multiple lines of business will be key to providing solutions that meet customer expectations and provide compelling product advantages.

Assist in the generation and prospecting of opportunities across the territory.
Education & Experience:
-
5+ years of related industry experience with demonstrated ability to direct and motivate team

Previous sales experience is an asset

Strong strategic planning capabilities with the ability to turn plans into new realities

Ability to demonstrate results in marketing or sales operations, understanding deeply how to capture the attention of internal sales teams and external channel partners and customers

Expert persuasion skills and the ability to captivate a room when delivering presentations and product demonstrations regardless of the seniority of the audience

Technical product or application experience is considered an asset
