This position will be responsible to deliver financial and business analysis, reporting, and business control requirements for Olympus Canada. This resource will be responsible for process development and documentation, planning and coordinating the annual Sales budgets, compensation planning and modelling, completing reporting requirements which include divisional forecasting, supporting various analysis including Cost and Average Selling Price Analysis, Identifying trends and revenue opportunities and detecting risks associated with our sales and marketing strategies, as well as profitability analysis for both Sales and Service related contracts.
In addition, this position will be responsible for delivering applications and reporting tools to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of various teams, such as the Sales team, Service team, Marketing, Operations and the Executive team. The goal is to eliminate or decrease the amount of manual and administrative efforts that are spent on daily activities. In addition to overseeing the tasks of 3 Sales Analysts, this position also manages a System Analyst who is responsible for the design, development, maintenance and documentation of application programs and reporting solutions, including interactive web and or windows solutions in support of sales and marketing strategies.
This position will be responsible for organizing work load and establishing processes and procedures to meet KPI target service levels and continued enhancements in reporting capabilities.

Budget work up, forecast reporting, trend analysis and monthly business reporting. Coordinating and preparing the annual budget, and period forecasts and performing analysis of actual to budget and year over year performance. Perform budget breakout analysis for product categories and territories showing trend analysis. Investigate trends not consistent with plan and forecasts.

Preparing and managing complex compensation plans, including key concepts and methodologies; preparing compensation status reports for management.

Review and supply trending analysis for Forecast and Monthly reporting. Review market conditions in conjunction with Sales, Service, Marketing and Management analysis.

Complete Gross Profit and Average Selling Price trend analysis, investigate and report variance to plan.

Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Service, Contracts and Finance directly to develop and streamline processes for improved reporting and data warehousing.

Work with IT to build and improve reports and dashboards for various departments and senior management.

Develop standard reporting packages for Marketing product lines and other areas of the business, within PowerBI.

Creating critical performance indicators for all functional business units; work with the various department heads to ensure clear understanding and achievement of these indicators.

Ensuring all Tools and Calculators are loaded and validated consistently with most current data.

Analyzing year over year cost and price changes and impact on Gross Margin

Providing guidance and assistance, to support cross functional projects and ensure timelines are being met.

Develop career objectives for the Business Intelligence team.
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent knowledge required.

5 to 7 years of experience with Finance and or IT required.
Preferred:

Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Strong computer skills including the ability to develop reports using Slaesforce.com, Business Objects, SAP, and Power BI.

Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Access and Excel.

Corporate Finance or Financial Systems experience preferred.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments.

Ability to present to senior management.
