Our organization is seeking a Senior Channel Marketing Manager to help lead and activate unique channel campaigns and initiatives to support our business priorities.
Reporting to the Director, Product and Channel Marketing within Sun Life’s Client Solution Centre (CSC), the Senior Channel Marketing Manager will lead the CSC Marketing team working with the business leads to bring compelling go to market plans to members.
The CSC is one of Sun Life Canada’s high-potential businesses, and it offers wealth and insurance options mainly to people who are leaving their employer plans so that they can continue to save economically for their retirement.
What will you do?
Lead, develop and implement integrated Business to sponsor (B2S) and Business to Client (B2C) marketing programs that target specific channels and clients to promote Sun Life Wealth and Insurance and protection solutions
Work closely with Director of Product and Channel Marketing to build marketing strategies and go to market integrated plans aligned to support business and client outcomes for projects
Understanding of client journey and targeting content and marketing tactics to specific client segments
Work collaboratively with business leads from Client Solutions Center, Group Retirement Services and Sun Life Financial Distributors, as well as phone advice teams and product management to ensure integrated activation of marketing campaigns
Ability to analyze data, observe trends, search out new channel opportunities and report and evaluate the success of campaigns and social engagements
Work with digital and analytics teams to dashboard campaign results and report back to business on campaign challenges and successes
Oversee development of marketing materials for promotion and channel campaigns
Leverage client data and insights to build out targeted marketing plans and track against outcomes
Ability to understand and adapt to market trends and channel opportunities that affect different segments
Partner and leverage content working with social, digital and email marketing partners to build out integrated campaigns
Create strong processes and demonstrate effective project management skills to drive execution cross-functionally
Strong ability to understand and visualize segmentation data to target clients with unique offerings
Be a channel champion and subject matter expert – channel trends, personas and segmentation
Measure, report, and present results of marketing programs and campaigns
Identify standard methodologies and streamline efficiencies within the Marketing department and business partners
Ability to prioritize focus and project management deliverables and execution of tactics
What do you need to succeed?
8-10 years of experience completing coordinated marketing campaigns
Strong Financial Services or Asset Management experience
Strong experience writing, editing and conceptualizing marketing pieces, campaigns and PowerPoints
Strong understanding of marketing trends and B2B and B2C standard methodologies
Experience or familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Adobe Marketing Cloud
Excellent project management skills
Strong, professional teammate who can communicate, collaborate and influence effectively
Knowledge of building and executing on targeted client campaigns
Solid understanding and knowledge of email and digital marketing
Asset Management industry experience required
Highly organized with keen attention to detail yet connecting to the big picture
Creative, innovative thinker
Strong multitasking and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree required; Degree in applicable field preferred

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
