Today, PDI supplies its products to major international brands including Yamaha, Honda, John Deere, Suzuki, Can-Am, Polaris, and many more. PDI’s products are renowned in the powersports industry, often sponsoring and appearing alongside championship racers in desert racing, rock crawling, and mud circuits under the Demon Powersports brand.
In the past few years, in line with its objectives of being a leader in the outdoor recreation space, PDI created its own electric bike line through its Demon Electric and RYDE brands. PDI is also looking to expand its product offering and brand awareness in its e-bike lines to promote healthy active living and micro-mobility.
The National Procurement Manager directs all phases of securing contracts relating to national purchasing efforts for principal supply partners, spanning several product categories. Cultivates national-level relationships with primary vendor partners and leverages regional best-practices across the Business Units. Establish and foster relationships with key internal stakeholders. The National Procurement Manager supports the company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service and work efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Plan, develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures
· Plan and control the procurement budget and expenditures
· Assign, coordinate and review purchasing projects and programs
· Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods and services
· Monitor quality of purchased parts and direct supplier vetting and quality control
· Authorize the development of specifications for products or services from suppliers based on the requirements of the R&D and Sales departments
· Manage supplier contracts
· Manage vendor relationships and review and process claims against suppliers to resolve issues
· Oversee the preparation of reports, including costing and inventory reports
· Control warehouse stock and replenish the inventory products
· Advise senior management as to parts availability, cost, lead-time and market viability
· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily procurement operations
· Hire, train, direct and motivate procurement staffs
· Manage, co-ordinate and implement with oversea team for all purchasing requirements and functions
Requirements:
· A bachelor's degree or higher
· 10 or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement and vendor management
· Experience in inventory management and replenishment
· Cost control and negotiating skill
· Familiar with the automobile/car parts industry
· Familiar with international trade, logistics, duty and tariffs
· Able to supervise team members
· Willing to occasionally travel internationally
· Dependable and organized team player with excellent judgement, initiative, and communication skills
· Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining deadlines, attention to detail
· Able to use MS Office (MA Excel, Word and Outlook) and ERP software
