Position: Promotions Coordinator, Bell Media
Job Status: Regular- Full time

Salary: (Entry level) Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Bell Media is seeking an individual who is creative, extremely organized and efficient to join our team as a Promotions Coordinator for our Kelowna stations, Virgin Radio, MOVE 101.5 and AM 1150. In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of promotions for our stations, including live events, contesting and marketing initiatives. You will also be responsible for updating and posting to our social media accounts and websites.
- Initiate and execute the development and ongoing support for station promotional and marketing initiatives

Revise and generate proposals for re-current and new events & partnerships as required

Manage and execute on the various elements of our promotional partnerships and commitments to continue and to create community relationships

Generate Week Ahead / Liners for MOVE 101.5 on a weekly basis

Attend weekly announcer meetings & promo meetings (when scheduled) with current status of ongoing promotions

Oversee care, appearance and maintenance of station promo vehicles and equipment.

Attend promo meetings with updates on current and upcoming promotions
-
Source and contribute creative promotional ideas on an ongoing basis with the goal of increasing revenue and station branding in the community

Post event, contest information, and other relevant promotional information to station websites and social media channels

Coordinate weekly contest prizing, create and distribute weekly prize sheets

Update and distribute weekly events/remote listing

Co-ordinate logistics, set up and staffing for sales promotion remotes and live broadcasts and community events

Schedule and supervise part time and temporary staff

Provide back up as required including weekend work potentially.

Other duties as assigned from time to time
- 1 – 2 years experience in promotion, communication and/or event planning

Training through a broadcast technology program or direct experience in broadcast industry an asset

Knowledge of content management systems an asset

Strong social media skills

Strong communication, writing and creativity

The ability to work as part of a team

Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines

Valid driver’s license (clean abstract required)
