About the role
We’re looking for a Claims Representative III, Commercial Property to join our growing EBI/Energy team!
What you'll do here:

Responsible for representing the company in the negotiation and settlement of outstanding claims

Handling of technical moderate Equipment Breakdown and Energy losses

Working with insurer markets to resolve claims for our customers

If necessary, attend the loss location to assist in field investigation

Investigate losses to determine necessity of claim as well as appropriate level of claim
-
Lead in analysis and assessment processes including analysis of coverage levels as well as quantum and liability assessments
-
Participate in management of losses and expense reserves
-
Assist with unit priorities including training and development of staff and other duties as assignment by the Unit Manager

Direct the activities of independent adjusters and experts, when necessary

What you bring to the table:

Minimum 5 years of property claims handling experience, commercial claims preferred
-
Ongoing commitment to self-development
-
Field claims experience an asset
-
Experience with Equipment Breakdown or Energy claims, an asset
-
Demonstrate leadership
-
Ability to plan, organize and establish a strategy
-
Adaptability and ability to collaborate and motivate others
-
Bilingual (French , English) - need to interact on a regular basis with clients and colleagues across the country
