Job Description
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Business Effectiveness team. As a Business Consultant, you’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both the Croesus portfolio management system and our business. You are an experienced and well-rounded professional who can leverage your data analytical and strategy development skills to support, present and sell your ideas. You are a leader who acts as a business owner and can take an idea right through to implementation as you collaborate with a diverse team to create and build flexible, innovative solutions that deliver a best-in-class client experience.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role .You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed

Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Organization - Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and/or edit a wide variety of presentation and communication materials (e.g. key messages, communication plans, tactical deliverables, presentations etc.)

Communication - Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation.

Production Support - Conduct investigation and provide resolution(with help of developers when needed) for issues brought up by business.

Data Governance - Act as a resource and subject matter expert relating to data governance requirements and processes.
Who You Are
-
You have a bachelor's degree/diploma in Business, and/or Information Technology Systems (or equivalent work experience), and you’ve spent at least 3 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions. It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.

You are a certified professional. You have completed the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and/or have experience in the brokerage industry.

You have working knowledge of financial product concepts and calculations (bond amortization, accrued income, expected income, yields).
