Delmar College is seeking an instructor responsible for training student hairstylists and for overseeing client work on our salon floor. The instructor will be responsible for assessing student work, recording marks, and keeping students informed of their progress on an ongoing basis. Additionally, they will work with the public on student services and ensuring 5 star customer service with every client, every day. Other duties as assigned. Excellent verbal and written communication skills is an asset. Candidates must embrace technology, including use of a Ipad for instructional use.
The candidate must also be certified in hairstyling from a recognized school and have three years minimum previous industry experience in hairstyling. Red seal preferred.
Candidates must be self motivated, be versed in conflict resolution, and work well with people. Organization and planning skills are a definite asset. Position is for 3 days per week, 8 hour per shifts. Additional shifts possible...according to demand.
