Job Description
ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is hiring a Business System Analyst to provide analysis of system changes or enhancements on the business flows for the following projects:

Electronic medical records (EMR) project. Current EMR is based on OSCAR (Open Source Clinical Application and Resource) platform

Regional Pharmacy Management Solution (RPMS) project. RPMS is a new, off the shelf national pharmacy management software replacing 5 individual software system that are not connected

Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) project. eMAR is an electronic record of all medication administration with data interface to EMR and RPMS systems that will replace current process for medication administration which is via a paper format.
Job Tasks
-
Provide business analysis of proposed system enhancements
-
Lead the coordination of development, evaluation, implementation, and integration of changes and updates to validate that functional requirements have been met.

Gather information from HQ team and system users to develop business functional requirements for enhancements to the electronic systems for inclusion within work tickets to IMS team

Prepare summary of requirements and screen mock-ups for all proposed enhancements to systems and proposed prioritization of each enhancement, relative to other enhancement in progress or proposed for review and discussion at the Health Technology Evaluation Committee (HTEC) meetings or other relevant recommendation committees or working groups. HTEC is where recommendations are made regarding proposed enhancements and the relative prioritization for placement in upcoming EMR releases or introduction of new technologies).

Define and clarify functional requirements on the development of new systems and system enhancements with IMS technical and programming team.

Consult with a project team of 10+ people including health staff, developers and database designers, to validate and assess the implementation of changes to OHIS-EMR, RPMS and eMAR systems

Conduct functional testing of enhancements to electronic systems in consultation with the Regional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) prior to moving into the production environment.

Prepare and present on-going updates of results of functional testing of proposed enhancement or upgrades to OHIS team members.

Conduct initial troubleshooting of system performance or access to data issues identified once in production by collecting all information available to send to IMS team. Expectation is to address issues in the interim from a functional perspective (i.e., provide workaround or alternative method to meet immediate business need)

Coordinate discussions of OHIS team regarding OHIS system and business workflow impact from system development or enhancements proposed to prepare evaluation report and to include previously completed enhancements to OHIS applications

Review existing policies and procedures to identify and document items requiring modification such as database content, structure, application subsystems, develop and enhance data dictionary to improve operation and usability of the OHIS applications
Deliverables:

Monthly summaries of requirements documents and screen mock-ups of requested enhancements
-
Quarterly summary report of all system enhancement requests with accompanying level of effort (info provided by IMS team), relative prioritization, and actual or proposed date of implementation.

Summary written report of functional testing of all enhancements to the OHIS Team and to Manager prior to enhancements moving to production.

Post production evaluation report of all system enhancements implementations (within 30 days of release)

Quarterly analysis report of performance or data access issues identified
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar would be a plus.

Over 10 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional testing within the healthcare or pharmaceutical domain.

Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and pharmacy management software is highly desirable
Technical Skills:

Proficiency in understanding and analyzing complex systems and software.

Experience with EMR platforms, particularly OSCAR or other medical health records software systems management software systems

Familiarity with software development and integration processes.
Business Analysis Skills:
-
Strong ability to gather and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.

Experience leading coordination efforts between various stakeholders, including technical teams and end-users.

Knowledge of business process analysis and re-engineering.
