Position Summary
This HR team member will provide administration and analytical support of compensation programs and processes across NA. Provide consultation to the internal HR team with regard to competitive pay practices while focusing on the employee experience. Contribute to special projects as needed.
Note: This will be approximately a 12+ month contract position.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Supporting and project managing the execution and communication of year end merit increase. Research merit budget, draft merit guidelines, and prepare communications. Partner with HQ team on campaign setup, timeline, testing, statement generation etc. Review/recommend compensation policy changes as necessary, collaborate with HR Business Partners on rating/merit calibration meetings during annual performance review process; obtain required approvals.
Design, implementation & administration of NA Incentive Plans. Manage
approval process, partner with HR Partner to provide advice to business leaders on pay for performance, track and calculate manual calculations (i.e. affiliate transfers, prorations for LOA, etc), and handle communication of approved
payouts to department heads & payroll. Plan for special scenarios as required (i.e. re-organizations, plan changes, etc).
Conduct the salary planning process to ensure that employees are paid
competitively. Complete salary survey participation and position matching for
competitive review. Analyze results and present recommendations. Review
departments according to established annual calendar. Consult with Talent
Acquisition team as needed to determine pay package for new hires / internal
promotions.
With Director Compensation and Organizational Effectiveness, act as NA
compensation contact for Executive and Global Mobility compensation matters
including salary planning, merit, bonus, Groupe stock program, SARs, cash long-term incentives.
Administer job banding system to determine Job Band for each position.
Identify process improvement opportunities and seek new practices, tools, or
methods in how work is performed and managed and work with relevant
stakeholders to implement changes.
Nature & Scope
Position typically works with VP, Total Rewards and Organizational Effectiveness NA; 2 Director Compensation and Organizational Effectiveness NA; Payroll and Mobility Manager NA; Sr. Payroll Specialist; Payroll Analyst; Sr Global Mobility Specialist; HRIS Analyst NA; HR Business Partners; Talent Acquisition team; contacts at Pernod Ricard Holding, as well as all levels of managers, providing information and advice regarding compensation issues. External contacts may involve HR peers at other companies in the industry, compensation survey consultants and outside recruiters to obtain market data. Communication frequently includes very sensitive information, requiring complete confidentiality and discretion in dealings with contacts. Decisions impact the organization as a whole, and errors may cause significant expense to the entire organization.
Key Competencies

Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area (or equivalent experience)

Experience / Background: Typically requires 1-3 years of previous experience in administration of compensation programs, including salary survey participation and analysis, merit and bonus administration and job analysis.

Required Skills/Competencies: Some technical knowledge of compensation program features and market practices. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required for interaction with management in explanation of compensation programs, policies and decisions. Strong analytical and technical computer skills are required to efficiently manage and manipulate data. Critical skills include accuracy, thoroughness, problem solving, project/time management. Must be a self-starter who drives for results. Process improvement mindset with long term focus. Good understanding of core HR practices and employee relations.
