Black & McDonald Limited (Atlantic Region) is actively seeking a Project Coordinator/Estimator to join our Atlantic Industrial Refrigeration Department working out of our Moncton, NB location. The position involves working on a full-range of industrial refrigeration projects.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders including Black & McDonald team members, clients, consultants, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and the community.
- Assist in day-to-day tasks both in the office and in the field

Actively participate in required safety deliverables and promote a positive safety culture

Assist with/perform requisition of purchase orders, invoicing, insurance certificates, local authority requirements

Assemble safety boards, assist with development of safety plans, & monitoring of related activity

Assist in the preparation & management of related documentation – schedules, project close-out (technical, financial), quality control, drawings, layouts, etc.

Schedule & coordinate project work, required resources, field technicians, sub-contractors, and local authorities

Assist with drafting for various projects – includes schematic drawings, permit drawings, and construction drawing packages

Assist Project Manager with weekly report updates on progress, labour productivity, work outcomes, budget, cost, and forecast

Track progress against project plans and specific team targets

Assist team with the procurement of material and equipment, and coordinate the delivery of materials to various facilities and construction sites

Assist in preparing estimates of materials, labour and equipment based on tenders, request for quotations, and design build proposals

Assist in the preparation of proposal documents, adhere to tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders

Travel to various sites

- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Community College diploma in Building Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or comparable related field experience.
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Willing and able to travel throughout Atlantic Canada as needed

Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Experience with Autodesk Revit considered an asset but not required
