Senior Developer – Oracle ADF
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking an Expert Oracle Developer for a two (2) year engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This client is pleased to offer a remote work model for this role.
Senior Developer – Oracle ADF Job Details
- The consultant will be required to complete Oracle ADF development, focused on front-end application development, to meet user requirements.
- Creation and customization of JSF pages based on UI / UX needs
- Integration with current legacy application modules (primarily PROMIS “Classic”)
- Establish design, development guidelines and standards
- Conformance to ADF Best Practices / Standards
- Experience and proficiency working with Oracle DB 19c (SQL & PL/SQL)
- Understand business needs for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery
- Collaborate with other PROMIS team members to carry out project requirements and deliverables
- Adhere to and provide input for improvement of existing Software Development Life Cycles processes / methodologies & development standards for PROMIS and all other departmental undertakings
- Ensure that all software aspects of system stability and performance, security and privacy, software monitoring, defect identification and remediation are current and active
- Produce technical deliverables like design/technical specifications, code and unit-test.
Senior Developer – Oracle ADF Mandatory Skills
- Expertise in creating and customizing JSF pages to meet UI/UX requirements, including designing and implementing user interfaces, components, layouts, and interactions.
- Proficiency in using Oracle ADF to build web applications, including understanding ADF Faces components, data binding, task flows, and navigation.
- Experience in integrating Oracle ADF applications with existing legacy modules, especially PROMIS "Classic," ensuring seamless interoperability between new and old systems.
- Ability to establish design guidelines and standards for UI/UX
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle ADF best practices and coding standards
- Strong skills in working with Oracle Database 19c, including SQL and PL/SQL programming for data manipulation, retrieval, and storage.
- Understanding of business needs for CI/CD processes.
- Effective collaboration skills to work closely with other PROMIS team members, understanding project requirements, and delivering on project milestones.
- Familiarity with existing Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
- Ability to ensure the stability and performance of the software system, including monitoring, identifying and addressing defects, and optimizing application performance.
- Proficiency in creating technical documentation, including design specifications, technical requirements, and code documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, and business needs while maintaining the integrity of the application.
- Understanding of application security principles to ensure data privacy, protection against vulnerabilities, and adherence to security standards.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Senior Developer – Oracle ADF Nice-To-Have Skills
- Experience working in an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Leadership skills to guide and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and support.
Senior Developer – Oracle ADF Assignment Length
Two (2) year contract with the potential for one extension of two months.
