The impact you will have:
The Internal Communications Manager will ensure our people receive prompt and engaging communications that build awareness of our strategy and capabilities, strengthen our culture, and improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with stakeholders across our company, including our executive leadership team to translate our vision, culture, and values, into clear, engaging, and on-brand internal communication.
The ideal candidate will offer excellent project management skills and an in-depth understanding of internal communications strategy and execution in a matrixed organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a focus on stakeholder management are critical to succeeding in the role.
This role is hybrid with the expectation of being in the Toronto office 2-4 times per month.
What you’ll do:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Communications, develop and lead the implementation of the internal communications plan, including key messages, communication channels, and tactics.
Draft and edit internal communications content.
Support the planning and execution of our quarterly all-company and functional town halls, and of our annual all-company conference
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and offer evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
Create and manage an internal communications calendar to ensure all content is timely and relevant.
Manage internal events and other company initiatives, partnering with other teams and stakeholders as needed.
Find and act on opportunities to enhance employee engagement.
What you’ll bring to the table
4+ years of experience in a marketing communication, internal communication, or content marketing (minimum 2 years dedicated to internal communications).
Strong preference for in house marketing communications experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication with experience writing for executives.
Ability to work with senior leadership across the organization.
Project coordination and project management skills.
Understanding of internal communications planning and content creation.
Experience in writing briefs, delivering feedback, and working collaboratively with third-party vendors.
