Senior Manager, Procurement
Status: Full Time permanent
Location: North York, ON. Hybrid work schedule, 2-3 days/week on-site

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Senior Manager, Procurement will be the subject matter expert relentlessly focused on securing the best cost for the organization. In partnership with corporate procurement teams, the Senior Manager, Procurement will be accountable for analyzing current spend and negotiating with vendors to purchase retail products, goods not for resale, services, IT contracts and various other expense contracts. The role will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, fostering supplier relationships, optimizing costs, and ensuring the timely and efficient acquisition of goods/services while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Accountabilities:
Data Analytics and Cost Management

Analyze current product/service/expense spend across the business including clinic operations and corporate costs to identify areas for cost savings

Determine average spend per clinic across various expense categories and establish parameters/guidelines for spend

Monitor and track spend on a regular basis and investigate variances as necessary
Procurement Strategy and Planning

Meet with operations and cost centre leads to understand procurement needs, and to identify and evaluate vendors based on a set of criteria/scorecard to select the best vendor

Develop and executes comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives

Provide updates to the VP Finance and broader leadership team on procurement strategies and initiatives and escalates risks/decisions as required

Meet with the leadership team to plan cost-driven initiatives and annual building blocks

Identify opportunities for improvements and cost savings in procurement operations through streamlining of processes and consolidation of the supply chain
Vendor Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms, contracts and agreements

Source new suppliers and evaluate their capabilities, quality and reliability

Initiate and own the vendor Request for Proposal (RFP) process to source products/services

Maintain all product/service/expense contracts

Serve as first touchpoint with vendors for all cost-related troubleshooting
Inventory Management

Collaborates with business teams to resolve major inventory issues as they arise i.e. over-orders, short shipments

Forecast demand and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment

Facilitation where needed on major vendor stock supply chain issues
Leadership & General Management

Conduct and review post-mortem analysis on the effectiveness of vendor management and procurement, and identifies opportunities for improvement

Participate in the annual planning and monthly forecasting process providing inputs

Liaise with enterprise procurement, finance and legal teams leveraging best-case practices as necessary

Serve as first point of contact for procurement with operations, clinics and corporate cost centre leads on a regular basis

Have proven success in a procurement role

In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management and market analysis
