Your opportunity:
This is a very exciting time for Property Management at the University. As the principal contact for clients service needs across the campus, the group has recently undertaken an organizational review and identified areas of improvement to create a best-in-class client experience. This position was created to support a high performance team culture, foster staff development, and ensure a seamless client experience. Reporting to the Senior Property Manager, the incumbent will work with a team of Property Managers, supporting and assisting them in managing a very diverse collection of University facilities. This position is critical in delivering a best-in-class client experience for a broad range of stakeholders across the campus.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Senior Property Managers with improving processes and documentation; and assisting Property Managers in completing projects; and, may be responsible for personal projects involving campus-wide initiatives

Completing Service Orders for clients

Administer the tendering process; Ensure contract and service provider documentation is current

Managing renovation projects funded by the client; managing building envelope projects funded through the department; Informing clients and stakeholders of project progress

Checking that contracts are fulfilled, monitoring accounts for a project and/or program, reconciling and project closure

Conducting routine building inspections, identifying and reporting facility repair and/or maintenance needs

Assisting with, or creating, various reports such as Service Order tracking and analysis

Responding to urgent issues and emergencies; coordinating repairs and business resumption
Essential Qualifications:
-
Advanced College Diploma (3 years) in property or facilities management, or, acceptable combination of equivalent experience.

Minimum three years in a property management, facilities management or construction environment

Experience in contract adminstration

Knowledge of and/or experience with Occupational Health & Safety regulations, regulations for hazardous material (mould/asbestos) control, CCDC2, and Ontario Building and Fire Codes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power BI, etc.)

Strong skills in using a web-based service management system

Excellent oral and communication skills with highly developed interpersonal skills

Strong in organization and planning
-
Proficient analytically and comfortable with budget management
Assets (Nonessential):

Certification in BOMA/IREM or CET

Knowledge of SAP

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 12 - $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
