(MAPSWS) is an industry-led provincial non-profit organization dedicated to building inclusive and diverse welcoming workplaces in all skilled trades industries in New Brunswick. MAPSWS delivers 4 provincial programs and services: NB-MAP, New Boots, First in Trades (FIT) and Skilled Trades Exploration Program (STEP). Reporting to the ED, we are currently seeking a New Boots Coordinator.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Help lead a three-year retention project for tradeswomen in New Brunswick.

Conduct literature reviews when it comes to the subject of recruitment and retention related to women in trades, collect and analyze data.

Develop an interview schedule for all phases of the project across the province. Prepare interview questions, recruit and/or interview subjects (focus groups/one on ones), maintain accurate records of interviews, safeguarding the confidentiality of subjects, as necessary, to then analyze and summarize data.

Assist with the development of communication materials the project might need.

Quarterly reporting writing that will contribute to a final report/research paper.

Collaborate in the development and delivery of outreach activities to encourage girls and women to pursue skilled trades careers, such as: hands on activities, visits to postsecondary institutions to meet students, etc.

Offer presentations relevant to promoting skilled trades careers and represent the organization at different community and partners events, such as: career fairs, women's groups, conferences, networking activities, etc.

Develop and maintain relationships with partners, employers, associations, colleges, schools, and the network membership

Collaborate in MAPSWS events (breakfast series, annual Gala, etc.)
Essential Qualifications:

University Degree (Preferred areas of study: Sociology, Education, Psychology, etc.) and/or Red Seal or apprentice in a designated skilled trade with some research background.
- Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle and ability to regularly travel throughout NB (including multi-day overnight travel)

Bilingual candidates preferred (verbal & written English and French)

Understanding of skilled trades industries, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and/or experience working with Equity Deserving Groups

Familiarity with New Brunswick's apprenticeship training system & skilled trades careers
Behavioral Competencies: Planning and organizing skills, Effective communication, Relationship building, Results oriented, Team player, Show initiative, Work independently, Attention to detail, Analytical thinking.
Technical Competencies: Project management, Research skills Ability to use Microsoft Office, Presentation Skills.
