Renovation Sales & Design Consultant Position

Renovation Sales & Design Consultant Key Responsibilities
As a Renovation Sales & Design Consultant, you will be responsible for managing new opportunities right from the initial contact through every step of the process. From design consultation to budget discussions, proposal development, and presentation, you'll be the face of OakWood, showcasing our capabilities and unique approach to engage and qualify potential clients, ensuring their excitement about what we can achieve for their project.
You will work with OakWood's processes, using our scope and budget templates and proprietary customer relationship management software. Your goal will be to close deals and achieve monthly and annual quotas/targets.
Once the deal is closed, you will take the lead in guiding your clients through the design process. Collaborating with the experienced OakWood Team, you'll facilitate the completion of the final concept designs, construction drawings, and material selections, all based on the approved budget.
Furthermore, you'll be the point of contact for your clients throughout the project journey, nurturing ongoing relationships for potential future projects. Your focus will always be on ensuring an exceptional customer experience from start to finish, reflecting the values that OakWood stands for.
As a Renovation Sales & Design Consultant in this role, you will be responsible for independently sourcing your own leads and building relationships through networking and events. Your success will rely on your ability to proactively engage with potential clients, industry peers, and decision-makers to generate new business opportunities.
Renovation Sales & Design Consultant Skills and Qualifications
To excel in the role of Renovation Sales & Design Consultant at OakWood, we seek candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design or architectural technician, renovation or design consulting, or renovation sales role.
- Knowledge of residential renovation and construction practices and products is preferred.
- Familiarity with local building codes and new building technologies, and their implications for design, is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and Design Software is an asset.
- A diploma or degree in Design, Architecture, or Building Technology is an asset, demonstrating a strong foundation in the field.
