Summary
The Manitoba Motor Dealers Association (MMDA) provincially represents the interests and issues that affect the well-being of franchised new vehicle and truck automotive dealerships. Our member dealers represent a key part of Manitoba’s economy. In 2015 MMDA created an industry-based safety program, presently called Sales and Service Safety Association (S2SA). The industry-based safety program is an internal department of MMDA.
Under the direction of the Motor Vehicle Operations Manager/CarrXpert Western Canada Manager, the Motor Vehicle Operations Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring member records are up to date, coordinating administrative duties, assisting in MPI relations as well as the CarrXpert program. The Coordinator assists in ongoing support for the dealership collision centres.
Duties and Responsibilities
MPI Committees
- Attend committee meetings as required
- Transcribe committee meeting minutes
- Conduct Industry research when necessary to update and improve the contract with MPI to reflect the state of the Industry.
- Compile surveys/ coordinate industry feedback on MPI polices and initiatives
- Communicate with MPI to coordinate annual dealership bodyshop award
Collision Committee
- Plan and setup quarterly committee meetings
- Transcribe committee meeting minutes
- Seek feedback from members and have members share industry news from their OEM’s
CarrXpert
- Assist with maintenance of CarrXpert program for dealerships throughout Manitoba
- Assist with marketing of CarrXpert program, ordering supplies, swag, etc.
- Compile data and create quarterly reports
- Assist with member visits as required
- Analyze gaps in performance and offer actions plans with suggested training available to improve efficiency and achieve goals
Other
- Manage the internal Member database using the Insightly CRM software application; including inputting data and generating reports
- Maintain accurate records, files, and databases related to the job function
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions to identify opportunities or threats
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports or presentations
- Stay up to date on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices within the industry
- Interact with clients, members, and stakeholders to address inquiries, resolve issues, or provide support
- Generate reports for internal and external reporting of all program activities, outcomes and deliverables
- Conduct industry-related research as required
- Attend Zero Emission Vehicle Council meetings and present to stakeholders when needed
- Attend conferences as needed and where appropriate
- Plan and coordinate annual summit
- Assistance with MMDA events, coordinate and promote sponsorship and tickets for MMDA events
- Deal with incoming customer inquiries over the phone
- Assist and attend career fairs representing the automotive industry
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Certifications, and Experience
- Completion of business administration diploma or degree or equivalent an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of the MPI contract, business rules, systems and policies, or willingness to learn
- Strong knowledge of certified collision and repair procedures, or willingness to learn
- Experience in and passion for the automotive industry
- Highly organized and detail-focused; ability to handle multiple tasks at once, manage time appropriately, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Marketing and communication experience considered an asset
- Superior customer service and engagement ability with exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong writing abilities
- Intermediate level with Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook with PowerPoint skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision both autonomously and in a respectful team environment
- Having a ‘no job is too small’ attitude and outlook
- Must have a minimum of a valid Class 5 vehicle driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and be available to travel as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $58,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
