Overall Accountabilities:
The Consultant will work closely with the Director to provide Subject Matter Expertise with respect to our Clients, Industry, Products, Systems, Business Process, Regulations and BA Best Practices.
The Senior Consultant will act as the BA lead for large and complex client onboarding’s. This would include conducting Due Diligence activities, defining the Target Operating Model and providing the requirements needed in order to configure iFAST. They may be required to direct the activities of one or more junior BA’s.
Additionally the Consultant will support the BACOE by ensuring that onboarding best practices, defined methodologies and processes are continuously being improved and adhered to.
General Role & Responsibilities:

Provide subject matter expertise regarding industry, industry standards Finance/Banking industry, particularly in the
- Mutual Fund/Transfer agency/Trust Accounting/FundServ domains
- Evaluate and present information that will facilitate timely decision making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations

Translate changes into tangible requirements and assess product and client impact across all channels
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are clearly understood and consistently interpreted
- Ensure all changes result in effective and maintainable business solutions

Provide regular reporting to key stakeholders

Help plan and breakdown large project initiatives and provide guidance to ensure work break down structure, estimates, and plans for BA activities and deliverables are accurate
- Provide expertise on projects within the program and liaise with stakeholders, clients and project team as required
- Ensure team is following defined processes and best practices and provide input for continual improvement on business analysis methodology, processes and templates

Provide input into business analysis documentation standards and tools

Help resolve issues experienced by team

Actively assess risks, provide mitigation plan and escalate issues to management

Participate in project walkthroughs: business requirements, design, user guides, functional test plans and implementation sessions

Have excellent understanding of process flows, requirements gathering techniques, conducting structured analysis, data modeling, process mapping, Software Development and Project Management Life Cycle

Expertise in evaluating feasibility or practicality of ideas and options, assessing risks and trade-offs, and making informed and timely decisions
- Good understanding of the regulatory bodies governing client product offering and industry best practices. For example: CLHIA, National Instrument, Federal/Provincial, FundSERV, IACC and IFIC
Minimum Qualifications

5 years IFDS onboarding experience

University degree or equivalent experience
