Reporting to the Director, Business Transformation, the Project Manager will be responsible
for large to medium scale, high profile projects within the company's IT/OT and Corporate
Services.
The Project Manger will be responsible to working closely and collaborate with the Business
to deliver on projects. They will be responsible for all facets of the project cycle which
includes all project deliverables; meet the business requirements, business cases, on time,
scope and budget with a focus on cost effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with
existing Business Transformation methodologies and frameworks. The Project Manager will
have a good understanding of Enterprise Management Systems.
Responsibilities
- Core responsibility to manage IT/OT projects based on project pipeline from
initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and project closure.
- Manage multiple projects within the scope of Business Transformation Group
- Responsible to work closely with the business groups in requirements gathering, act as a
Business Analyst
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, budget, and quality
standards
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant
stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using
appropriate verification techniques
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
- Manage communications at all levels of the organization and across businesses, this
includes global projects and stakeholders
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the business unit and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Meet with the business to clarify specific requirements of each project
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and
long-term goals
- Proactively works with Functional Leads and other Project Managers to coordinate
activities, resolve issues and remove roadblocks across project teams
- Proactively identifies potential issues before they negatively impact the program
and reports to the assigned Project Director on a regular basis.
- Confidently leads and facilitates program status meetings and Steering Committee,
coordinate, prepare, monitor attendance, distribute materials, draft meeting
minutes and update program documentation
- Prepare accurate presentations and present strategic project status updates at
Steering Team meetings
- Creates and refines the program workflow through the necessary sub-project
lifecycle
- Proactively helping the business with change management through the articulation
of current and future state, coaching of team members and creative thinking
- Ensure business value is achieved through IT investments
- Leverages key lessons learned from other projects and assists in building standard
processes and templates to simply and streamline repeatable processes.
- Ensures electronic project documentation repository is up to date for all project
documentation, business/technology documents related to the
initiatives/projects/programs; tracks and sets up deliverable process (sign-off,
documentation)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
- Facilitates process to gather input and finalizes the program’s project close
document which identifies, among other things, lessons learned to ensure
continuous improvement to the integration/separation life cycle
- Reviews and provides input to Executive Steering Team reports and
presentations; Takes inputs from multiple areas/teams and consolidates in
summarized strategic level leadership materials
