The role of Provider Relations is to accurately register Providers by maintaining a current database and to support healthcare Providers by delivering effective and timely communications to ensure seamless claims adjudication. The project of re-contracting Providers ensures that all Providers can continue their relationship with ESC and remain active with no interruption to their billing privileges and claims submission processes.
The successful incumbent will review network agreements for our Pharmacy Providers, across Canada for accuracy and completeness and ensure that all Providers’ pertinent information is correctly entered into the Express Scripts Canada system.
NOTE: This is a 6 months contract position with a possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
Validates completed Pharmacy Provider agreements to allow the new Agreement to be registered
Maintain communications with Providers to ensure that all information is sent to re-contract
Respond to Providers inquiries and provide direction on next steps to re-contract, so as to ensure access to the ESC Provider network
Ensures that all pharmacy agreement information is entered into the system accurately and within the required timelines
Assists in other tasks/duties as required
Qualifications:
Post-Secondary school diploma
Excellent written, verbal and oral communication skills
Team player with the ability to work independently
Knowledge of healthcare/pharmacy, medical supplies & equipment or dental benefit administration and claims processing is an advantage
Strong customer service focus with excellent attention to detail
Computer literate, possessing intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Reader and Writer
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and as a team player willing to take direction
Excellent organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to shift priorities working within established timelines
Demonstrates initiative (learn processes and procedures, various benefits) and displays self-motivation to grasp new concepts quickly
