Position: Senior Accountant
Your Role:
As the Senior Accountant at our head office located in Balzac, you will report directly to the VP of Finance and Shared Services. Your primary focus will be to manage full-cycle accounting, project job costing and support the Shared Services team. In addition, you'll partner with our leadership team and foster a corporate culture that prioritizes exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
Handle full-cycle accounting and reporting on a monthly and annual basis.
Take ownership of accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes, including collections.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
Assist with SAP inquiries, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and corrections.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of GL account reconciliations.
Provide ad-hoc accounting and operational analysis upon request.
Facilitate inventory counts and related activities.
Prepare year-end audit workpapers and collaborate closely with independent auditors.
Perform analytics to evaluate month-end results.
Complete other accounting and administrative duties as required.
You should be adept at handling multiple tasks and responsibilities while consistently meeting daily deadlines.

Your Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting/finance environment.
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred).
A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA program in process is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial, IT, and payroll systems, processes, and activities.
Previous experience with SAP B1 is considered an asset.
Prior experience with job costing, production jobs, and inventory management, preferably within a manufacturing and service organization.
