ORB Hair Co. is looking for a hair stylist to join our team. We are a fast-growing hair salon in Chilliwack, BC. We are looking for a team player who is passionate about nail art and nail polish. We are looking for someone who has experience with nail polish and want to learn more. Our ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and motivated. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing within the company and wants to be part of a team!!
We have new clients coming in all the time looking for services of all kinds. We need a stylist who is well versed in colour, cutting, and extensions. We will offer training for the right candidate. This is a long term commission position.
Responsibilities
- Provide nail art services to customers
- Apply nail extensions
- Use both gel and acrylic
- Cleaning and polishing nails
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment
- Maintaining an inventory of nail polishes and nail polishing equipment
- Keeping up-to-date with new products and techniques
- Keeping up-to-date with new technologies in nail care
- General office duties as assigned by management
Skills
- Proven experience as Nail Technician or similar role in an Nail Salon
- Experience in polishing, filing, and or manicuring nails (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of proper treatment of fingernails, toenails and toenails (preferred but not required)
- Understanding of fingernail anatomy and disease prevention (preferred but not required)
- Ability to follow sanitation standards/ procedures (preferred but not required)
- Certification in Nail Art (preferred but not required)
- Valid license (preferred but not required)
- Waxing skills an asset
- eyelash lift and tint skill an asset
Job Types: Permanent, Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
Salary: $20.00-$40.00 per hour
